Why do you need this? Well, no really good functional reason besides the fact that it looks really cool when you pop the hood and its anodized and etched. Now that you say it, that's enough reason right there! This cover reuses your existing radiator cap and merely presses right on top without any drilling, screwing, or gluing.

"After receiving a blank black cap, Beans customer service was very nice and sent me a replacement cap that was etched with the logos. After some “modification” (light sanding with my dremmel) The mishimoto cap fit under this cap cover and looks great. It fits stock caps perfect with no modification."

"It’s a nice looking cover for your stock cap. Mine was plain black and is not etched with the Ford logo, or Beans diesel, I reached out to the manufacturer regarding this, but it still in nice looking. This will not fit over the upgraded plastic Mishmoto cap unfortunately. It almost fits, seems like it wants to fit, but it will not with out some modification to the plastic."
