This oil pan is constructed out of durable cast aluminum with machined fins for maximum strength and styling. This cover incorporates a magnetic drain plug to capture loose particles for maximum engine protection. All necessary hardware is included for a hassle-free installation. NOTE: Fitment of this pan requires a minimum 6in lift. See install instructions for more information. The factory oil pan for Duramax diesel trucks leaves over 1/2 of a quart of residual oil during every oil change due to a high mounted drain plug. Not only do aFe Power's new Duramax oil pans eliminate this issue by lowering the drain plug, their specialized design also allows for approximately 2 quarts more oil capacity. Increase the life of your engine by making sure that every oil change is a complete oil change. Increased Oil Capacity: This oil pan has an increased oil capacity of approximately 2 quarts over stock for better performance over a longer duration.
