Description
Bosch is the original manufacturer of most of the fuel related components on your common rail Cummins, as well as numerous other diesel vehicles. The fuel rail, located on the drivers side of the engine, is responsible for holding up to 30,000 psi of fuel rail pressure delivered from the CP3 injection pump and delivering it to the six injector lines to be fed into your engine, or if sufficient fuel pressure has been reached, returning it via the pressure relief valve, also located on the rail. This genuine Bosch rail comes complete with a new pressure relief valve and rail pressure sensor. So why would you need to change your rail? There's a few reasons, ranging from the factory rail developing a crack, or the fact its typically less expensive to purchase the entire rail if you need the pressure relief valve (PRV) and the rail pressure sensor (RPS) separately. Further, its common practive for the performance enthusiasts to swap out the stock rail on their 2003-2007 5.9L Cummins in favor of the 6.7L rail due to the larger size, allowing more available fuel. Whatever the reasoning, this is a genuine Bosch rail to get your needs squared away.

About Bosch
Browse Bosch Auto Parts Online by Make, Model, and Year. Bosch has long been a recognizable name in the automotive industry. For those unaware, vehicle manufacturers outsource a sizable amount of the components that go into the production of vehicles, and Bosch is one of the companies that have had long standing relationships with a plethora of manufacturers over the years to build numerous vital components. In the diesel industry, Bosch is most known for producing original equipment injectors and injection pumps for use in Ram trucks powered by a Cummins engine, Chevrolet and GMC's with a Duramax diesel, and Ford SuperDuty's sporting Powerstroke engines. Rest assured that if you purchase Bosch Fuel Injection parts from us that you are only getting Bosch certified new or Bosch certified reman parts with the full factory warranty.

For the diesel market, Bosch gained considerable notoriety with the design and implementation of the common rail fuel injection system found originally on LB7 Duramax’s, then two years later with the 2003 Cummins, and finally available in 2008 on the 6.4L Powerstroke. While this may have been when Bosch was most noticed in this industry, their roots go back much further, building the original equipment HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pumps) for early Powerstrokes, the VE and VP44 injection pumps on Cummins, and injectors throughout nearly all applications. For current era light duty diesels, basically you can nearly conclude that if fuel touches it, it was most likely originally built by Bosch.

And while we continue to mention injection pumps and injectors, its SO much more than that. As previously mentioned, if fuel touches it, you can be pretty sure that Bosch made it, including the Fuel Control Actuators (FCA) also known as an MPROP that are mounted to the injection pump, Rail Pressure Sensors, and even Pressure Relief Valves. They're all made by Bosch! And finally, outside the realm of fueling, we offer Bosch Wiper Blades (yes, they make those too) because, honestly, they make a really nice wiper blade that works.

And you won’t just find Bosch in factory parts. The majority of aftermarket manufacturers or rebuilders do not build components from scratch. Rather, they start off with factory Bosch core pieces, and then remanufacture those for a final product. So whether you're simply in need of a single injector, or needing a full set of matched injectors with injection pump, we've got you covered, and can typically get the parts out almost immediately to get your stranded truck back on the road again.

Great product and amazing customer service!

"Went to a local shop to have my low fuel pressure issue diagnosed. They said the fuel rail pressure valve was bad, and recommend replacing the whole rail. My truck is stock, so a plug seems out of the question. When I saw the estimate, I was a little blown away. I decided to replace the fuel rail myself. Definitely not an easy job, but got it done. Now for the customer support part. Truck ran great for about 20 miles, then started having a rough idle and surging, up until it stalled. Decided to chat with customer service and they thought it could be related to the fuel pressure sensor. They quickly offered to warranty the product. When he said possible fuel sensor, I decided to reach way back and check the connection. It had loosed up, probably not snapped in place when I installed. Without their help, I probably wouldn’t have thought about the sensor plug. Thanks for helping me out! I will buy all my OEM and upgrades from Diesel Power Products!!"

Q&A

would the fuel rail for a 2012 fit a 2014
As far as I know it will not work. Everyone I have asked it is a 50/50 split on fitment. I'm going to say no it wont.-Sands
does the manufacture warranty also cover the fuel rail pressure sensor as well?
Yes it does cover that as well. SA
Why would I need to change out my stock fuel rail? to the Bosch fuel rail I understand the boss comes with new sensors is the Bosch Better Built? I have a 2012 deleted 3500 Ram
This would be the same OEM fuel rail your truck came with. This is simply to replace this unit. It does include the PRV and Rail Pressure Sensor.
