Description
EGT's running too high? Can't use all of the fuel you have available? The 6.7L Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete gives the largest flow increase possible short of milling the cast plenum off the head and going to a full fabricated intake. The Air-Boss 67 is not just replacement flat plate! The Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete is a billet aluminum, internally elevated plenum cover designed to flow as much air as possible to cylinders 4, 5, and 6. With careful machining, GDP was able to gain a full .270" of internal height while still allowing the use of the factory mounting hardware. We've all have seen the head gasket failures between cylinders 5, 6, and the coolant ports with the new 6.7L siamese cylinder design. The Air-Boss 67 Grid Heater Delete removes the restrictive factory grid heater and opens up the internal plenum area to the starving rear cylinders. Increasing airflow to the rear cylinders reduces EGT's and allow you to run even higher fueling levels! IMPORTANT NOTES: For cold weather applications please see the new GDP "Arctic Heat" High Flow 6.7L Grid Heater Relocation Kit. This product will NOT work on Cab & Chassis models. Please see the GDP Air-Boss CC for these models.

"I can tell that the engine breaths better and flows more air just by the sound, better throttle response and I can hear the turbo a little bit more. This is a must for any 6. 7 owner. TIP - I used balloons to cover injector and fuel rail fittings to keep dirt and suit out of them (cheap and you can get them anywhere)worked pretty good."

"very good idea. opened up the intake manifold a bunch. only took a couple of hours to install. recommend after removing injector lines using plastic caps to cover the ports b/c when you remove the cover there is a TON of airborne debris. be careful."
