"Installation was fairly easy to do with basic kobalt tool kit. Getting the fittings into the stock oil outlet was a challenge and would have been better with a straight fitting. However, the flow going in through the oil cap is pretty good. I’d buy again for sure and with the extra top engine oil flow it should ensure longevity And wear prevention."

"7/10/21-install sinister oil bypass filter kit -installation went OK did not like the bracket that holds the oil filter even though the holes were oversize it still didn’t fit well and you unbolt a bracket for the upper radiator hose and then it just leaves that hanging there, there’s no mount for it. The blue paint on their parts is not that great of quality even though I was careful I still ended up scratching some of it. The oil cap is hard to screw in it’s easy to cross thread it. On the oil filter housing one of the 90° fittings I had a hard time screwing it in because it was like a dent in the metal that was messing up the threads I had to run a thread tap in there and fix it. The hoses were a good length and nothing leaked after the install. The kit looks nice once installed on the truck. 2016 Ram 5500 2WD w/11’ utility body Thanks Ed"

"The sinister diesel bypass kit is a very high quality product. Installation was for the most part very easy. The only issue is I had to move a coolant hose, which required removed the air box and draining my radiator. Total install time was just over an hour."

- Do you need to add more oil to the engine when using the filter system?
- You will still need to ensure that your oil level matches up on the dipstick as it would without the bypass system installed. This typically requires roughly one additional quart, but we do recommend filling and checking.
