XDP's Gear Reduction Starters feature a smaller motor that is faster, more efficient, and draws less amperage. The Gear Reduction Design produces more torque than a factory unit, at about a third of the size. This not only reduces weight, but also makes a more compact design for easier installation. Each starter comes pre-tested, ready for installation and features a durable "Wrinkle Black" finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

"I went through two starters from Orielly's. The first one i put on 3-7-26 the second one they warrantied for me at the end of April. Both did not mesh correctly from the start. the second one left me stranded in a truck stop parking lot on the day that this one was set to arrive. "My oem starter on my Ram 2500 6. 7 lasted 270k miles. I'm constantly in and out of my truck, I probably stop and start it at least 20x's a day, I'm a field supervisor and I travel about 300 miles per day. Texas isn't a harsh climate so I'm not concerned about stupid cold temps, but the constant starting and stopping will put this starter to the test. So far so good."
