Description

When you have to service your oil cooler or replace the HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pump) on your 6.0, you'll want this oil cooler gasket kit to ensure you've got all of the necessary seals for a complete job. This kit includes all of the necessary gaskets, seal rings, o-rings, and HPOP inlet filter screen to remove and reinstall the oil cooler.Anytime the HPOP is replaced it is recommended to remove the oil cooler assembly. This allows the HPOP supply reservoir to be cleaned and its inlet filter screen to be replaced. It is common with use of low quality oil filters and an extended oil service interval for contaminants to build up in the reservoir and restrict the inlet filter for the HPOP. If the HPOP oil inlet filter restriction becomes severe, the filter will break up with the pieces going through the HPOP resulting in damage to the pump and IPR.
