Mopar Power Hop Damper Kit 14-18 Ram 2500
Description
Reduce axle wrap and wheel hop on your 2500 with this simple to install, bolt-on kit featuring a Bilstein damper.Beginning with the 2014 model years, Ram abandoned use of a traditional leaf spring out back in favor of coil springs exclusively on 2500 models. This shocked many, but was done in an effort to improve the ride. On certain applications, such as Power Wagons and G56 manual transmission equipped Cummins, it was evident that wheel hop was an issue. In order to correct this, Ram installed what is known as a Power Hop Damper on the rear axle that connects to the top of the differential on one end and a crossmember under the bed at the other. Fortunately, for those that don't have a factory installed damper, all of the provisions are there, you just need the components and bolt it in.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- This kit will only work on Ram 2500 models, not 3500. To confirm application, inspect the top of the rear differential for four threaded holes.
- Some aftermarket exhaust systems may have fitment issues with the bracket. Please confirm clearance above the axle before ordering.

- Will this help my rear end shake I have on my 2018 2500 G56. I already have what looks the same. Is this an upgrade for what I already have or an addition.
- If you have a this item on your truck from the factory, this is not an upgrade. This would be an upgrade for those that did not have it in the first place. Might not be a bad idea to look into the Pure Performance adjustable upper and lower control arms. (UPPER: PP-PP05980 LOWER: PP-PP05982) -Ben

- Yes it will. I have one on my 18 2500 with a 2"" leveling kit and load leveling bags on the rear.

- Currently we do not have the ability to purchase the shock separately.
- Mopar has 3 different part numbers for the bracket. Best I can tell, one is unique for 2wd, one for 4x4, and one for powerwagon. Which bracket is used on this product?
