Well, it does something, it quiets down some of the incoming air charge sound. If you're anything like us, you'd prefer to dress up your engine bay a little, plus get a little extra turbo sound, and its easy with this simple plug from Merchant. You merely remove the resonator box and install this plug and you're done.

Merchant Automotive, LLC was founded in 2004 by Eric Merchant. Eric was a long time employee of GM dealerships before forming Merchant Automotive, LLC. Eric got his start in high school where he discovered his passion for anything with a motor. He took his passion and turned it into a career in 1993 working in a small shop doing brakes and alignment work. He accumulated knowledge daily and soon took a position at a GM dealership in 1995 and advanced up the ranks over the next 10 years. "Does nothing to make turbo sound louder. To me all it did was remove the resonator and put a plug the says “Duramax” in a hole. Bought a Banks cold air intake that improved the sound of the turbo. If that is what you are looking for then I wouldn’t bother spending $30 on a pretty plug."

Q&A
- will this product void any factory warranty
- Per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, nothing can void your warranty until the auto manufacturer or dealer can definitely prove that the addition of an aftermarket component caused the failure of a factory component. Basically, they can't void a warranty just for the fact of having something installed that is not factory. That said, I'm not aware of any failure that could occur due to having this resonator delete plug installed, but it wouldn't hurt to consult with your local dealer if they would have any concerns.

- That fits the 6.6L Duramax from 17-23.
- Will this fit my 2020 high country ?
