Description
Here's the cheapest insurance you can buy for your Duramax! This drain plug from PPE solves two issues with the factory drain plug. First and foremost, the stock plug is made from cheap, soft metals that will round out over time, becoming extremely difficult to get out in the event it rounds out completely. Secondly, its not magnetic. Over time, your engine can begin to add small fragments of metal to the oil, and by having a magnet attached to the drain plug, you can rest assured that you'll be extracting those fragments from the engine at each oil change.

Q&A

Will this fit 2019 chevy silverado l5p duramax the oil plug looks same as previous years
There seems to be some conflicting info out there on the thread size of the new L5P. Not sure if it effects the 2019 but the 2017 could either have the 01-16 thread size or a smaller 12mmx1.75 thread. I would ask your dealer what your truck has, they should be able to look it up by vin. It is either going to be 14x1.5(01-16) or 12x1.75. -Sands
