Vehicle Fitment
2003-2008 Ram 2500 & 3500 4x4 with 08.5+ T-Style Steering Upgrade|2008.5-2012 Ram 3500 4x4|2008.5-2013 Ram 2500 4x4
WARNING: Cancer & Reproductive Harm - P65Warnings.ca.gov
IMPORTANT FITMENT INFORMATION:
  • This shock will fit ALL 2008.5-2013 Ram 2500's and ALL 2008.5-2012 Ram 3500's. However, 2003-2008 models will need to be inspected for proper application. From the factory, 2003-2008 models featured what is commonly referred to as Y-style steering, and this dampener will not fit this application, and will only fit if the vehicle has been upgraded with the later style steering, known as T-Style. The simplest method to determine whether you have Y-Style or T-Style is to reference the existing dampener. If the dampener is mounted to the steering linkage by bolting through a hole in the center link (bar that goes from drivers side knuckle to passenger side knuckle), then you have Y-Style. However, if your dampener bolts to a plate that is mounted to the center link, then you have T-Style. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • We have an option to select between using the Factory Tie Rod or a Synergy Tie Rod. This stabilizer uses a clamp to mount to the existing tie rod (center link).  If you have not changed your factory tie rod to an aftermarket Synergy (brand) which is larger, then select the option for "Factory Tie Rod." However, if you've upgraded your tie rod to a Synergy which features a larger 1.5" diameter, then select "Synergy Tie Rod."
  • These boxes come labeled for a Jeep JK, they share the same expanded and collapsed length and will work on your 2003-2013 T style steering Ram 2500/3500 4WD.
About FOX Shocks

FOX is a legend when it comes to shock technology. They do it right, and they've been doing it right for thirty plus years. Starting out in 1974, Bob Fox began the first prototypes of what would later be dubbed FOX AirShox on a Maico dirt bike being built in a friend's garage. From their roots in motorcycles, FOX has grown their expertise into nearly anything automotive and powersports, from snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATV's, off-road cars and trucks, and even bicycles. If it has wheels and can play offroad, FOX has an application.

FOX is continually raising the bar in each of their sectors with a fleet of sponsored riders and racers that allow their shocks to be pushed to the limits, and then determining ways to make the product even better for each application. Fox team members have stood atop the podiums in every sport they have competed in. What this means to you is that you get a race-proven component that can withstand extreme abuse, even if you're using it for novice level activities.

FOX SHOCKS FOR TRUCKS

Does Fox make shocks for trucks? You bet they do! While Fox does not make complete suspension systems, they do manufacture a fleet of varying shock options for both stock height trucks, as well as lifted. Youll even find Fox Shocks coming as included standard equipment in numerous lift kits. Beyond varying lift heights, Fox has a few different options when it comes to selecting the right shocks for your truck.

FOX SHOCKS 2.0

In terms of the various levels of shocks that Fox builds, things start out with their Performance Series. The Performance Series are a range of 2.0 diameter shocks available in IFP (Internal Floating Piston) monotube, remote reservoir, and coil over depending on the application. These are our most popular option because of their wide range of fitments, quality, and price. Beyond the Performance Series, youll find the Performance Elite Series that feature 2.5 diameter shock bodies and larger shafts to deliver a higher level of confidence and performance in more off-road situations. Finally, Fox rounds things off in their Factory Race Series with 2.5 and 3.0 bodies and a ton of cool features to help you go VERY fast off road.

FOX SHOCKS FOR F-250

The Ford F-250 SuperDuty is one of the most popular vehicles to upgrade with a set of Fox Shocks and/or steering stabilizer. For the most part Ford did a good job of carrying over the fitment of their shocks over numerous model years. For instance, the 1999-2016 all have the same rear shock and 2005-2016 the same front. Thats a HUGE range! Or you can step up your steering stabilizer to one of the Fox 2.0 Performance Series or really go big with a Fox Factory Series ATS that features a passthrough body for the shaft, meaning you get equal pressure in both directions!

RAM 2500 FOX SHOCKS

Another very popular vehicle upgraded with Fox Shocks is the Ram 2500. For the 1994-2013 Ram 2500s, they were also all the same fitment both front and rear shocks, carrying through the 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, and even 4th Gen series Rams.

FOX RACING SHOCKS

Racing or not, Fox has a series of Race series shocks intended for those of us really pushing our suspension to the limits or merely demand the very best suspension performance. Complementing a proper suspension system with the right shocks can and will make all of the difference in the ride quality and overall suspension performance.

Q&A

Will this fit with the apex t-style steering kit on a lifted 05 ram 2500?
Yes it will work with the Apex steering kit as long as you select the larger synergy tie rod clamp size.
Will this fit a 2006 ram 3500 with T style steering and an aftermarket AFE front cover.
You should have plenty of clearance. Since the ATS will mount towards the passenger side. And the diff cover will be towards the driver side. -Sands
