ICON K213005 Stage 5 Suspension System 09-18 Ram 1500 4WD

Description

The ICON Stage 5 Suspension System is ICON's premier kit for your Dodge Ram 1500 4WD. Comprised of the same components as the Stage 4 Kit, but with the addition of ICON's CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) to the rear piggybacks. The Tubular Delta Joint Upper Control Arm Kit allow for proper alignment and gobs of wheel travel, perfectly married to the capable wheel travel of the coilovers. The coil-overs are adjustable from 0" - 3" of lift to level out the truck. Also included are a set of ICON rear coil springs that will lift the rear 1.5", as well as further increase wheel travel. The dual rate spring is slightly softer than stock in the first rate and 75% stiffer in the second rate for more stability with payload or towing. Lastly, the kit includes a set of ICON rear 2.5" piggy-back shocks. These shocks are tuned and valved specifically for the best on and off road performance. They are constructed of the same high quality components used in all of ICON Vehicle Dynamics coil-over shocks. The PiggyBack Reservoir gives the shock added heat dissipation and its locations gives the shock an internal bump zone. This bump zone gives added control and stability when the suspension is pushed to full compression. Recommended tire 305X70R17, Wheel 17" with 4.75" backspacing. ICON's exclusive CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) gives the end user control over the shock's compression damping via a simple turn dial knob. ICON DELTA JOINT UPPER CONTROL ARM - These upper control arms feature ICON's patent pending Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.
