Description
The Method 709-HD Bead Grip is built for heavy-duty trucks that need additional strength without giving up a clean, aggressive wheel design. Method's patented Bead Grip Technology helps hold the tire bead securely at lower tire pressures, while an aggressive safety hump on the bead seat provides additional resistance against debeading. Each wheel is constructed from solid A356 aluminum with T6 heat treatment and features a reinforced inner lip derived from Method's race wheels, a 12-window design, replaceable 12-point lip bolts, and a snap-in center cap with an embossed Method logo.
The 709-HD is available here in 17x8.5, 18x9, and 20x9 sizes with Matte Black and Machined finishes. Depending on the configuration, load ratings reach 3,310 or 4,500 lbs. for heavy-duty applications. Select configurations are also compatible with Method's optional Forged Impact Ring for added lip protection and customization. Multiple bolt patterns are available for Jeep, Ford, GM, Ram, and Nissan applications. Well, maybe in the early days of Method, but that is long gone. The majority of Method Race Wheels catalog are for street vehicle, but the name pays homage to the engineering put into every wheel design that results in a high performance package at ever corner.
METHOD OFF ROAD WHEELSThe next thing to discuss would be the offroad styling of their wheels. Are Method wheels specifically designed for offroad use? No way! While MRW does offer a lineup of legitimate bead lock wheels, the majority of their styles featuring some kind of bolt at the wheels lip (or bead), these are merely for styling, sometimes called a simulated bead lock. Now, what Method does realize is that many of us are weekend warriors. We either commute to work in our trucks all week, or we work our trucks all week, but then on the weekends we like to hit some offroad trails.
