Description

Wheel hop is one of those problems that can make a truck feel rough, uncontrolled, and harder on parts than it needs to be. These Longhorn Fab Shop Universal 2" Traction Bars are built to help keep the rear axle planted, giving the truck better traction and a more stable feel when you get into the throttle. By helping reduce axle wrap and wheel hop, they can also help protect expensive components like the driveshaft, axle pinion yoke, u-joints, and suspension parts. This universal kit is designed for custom applications and is available with 72" traction bars for short-bed setups or 86" traction bars for long-bed setups. The frame mounts can be bolted to C-channel frames or welded to boxed frames, and the rear axle tabs are radiused to fit most axles so they can be welded to the axle tube or U-bolt bracket. Because this is a universal setup, some welding and fabrication are required, making it a good option for builders who need a strong, flexible traction bar kit instead of a direct bolt-on application. Each kit includes heavy-duty 2" steel bars, laser-cut and CNC-bent brackets, Grade 8 hardware, and a turnbuckle design that helps make alignment and suspension preload adjustment easier without removing the bars. Made in the USA, this setup is strong enough for sled pullers and drag racers, while still practical for daily-driven trucks that need better traction, durability, and control.
