If your truck experiences wheel hop when towing, launching, or putting power to the ground, you're not alone. Wheel hop can reduce traction and place extra stress on driveline and suspension components. This Longhorn Fab Shop Weld-It Traction Bar Kit is designed for Duramax trucks and gives you the components needed to build a heavy-duty traction bar system that helps keep the rear axle planted and the truck feeling more controlled under load. This kit includes professional-grade rod ends, weld-in bungs, heavy-duty brackets, mounting hardware, and through bolts, while allowing you to supply your own tubing to match your specific build. The front frame brackets bolt directly to the frame, and the turnbuckle-style design makes it easy to align the rod ends and adjust suspension preload without removing the bars. Please note that welding is required, and steel tubing is not included. Longhorn recommends using 1.5" Schedule 80 A36 structural pipe or tubing with an inside diameter larger than 1.500" and an outside diameter smaller than 2.250". Tube length should be approximately 63.5" for short bed trucks and 77.5" for long bed trucks. Built for everything from daily-driven trucks to sled pulling and drag racing applications, this kit features fully boxed brackets, Grade 8 hardware, and professional-grade three-piece rod ends with heat-treated, precision-ground components and PTFE liners for long-lasting, rattle-free performance.
