If your Duramax struggles with wheel hop when you get on the throttle, this Longhorn Fab Shop Professional Grade Weld-It Kit provides the key components to build a stronger, more controlled traction bar setup. By reducing axle wrap and keeping the tires planted more consistently, traction bars can improve feel, traction, and drivability, and reduce stress on parts such as driveshafts, pinion yokes, U-joints, and suspension components. This kit includes professional-grade rear brackets, front frame brackets, Grade 8 hardware, professional-grade rod ends, weld-in threaded bungs, and nylon-injected, oil-impregnated races designed for long, service-free, rattle-free performance. The brackets are laser cut and CNC-bent for a precise fit, while the turnbuckle design makes it easier to align the heim joints and brackets, plus adjust suspension preload without removing the bars. This is a weld-it kit and does not include the tubing or pipe needed to complete the traction bars. Installation requires welding and 1.5" Schedule 80 A36 structural pipe, or tubing with an ID larger than 1.500" and OD smaller than 2.250". Tube or pipe should be 63.5" for short bed trucks or 77.5" for long bed trucks. Helps reduce wheel hop and improve traction. Includes professional-grade brackets, heims, and Grade 8 hardware. Fully adjustable design allows easy suspension preload tuning.

  • Welder (or access to one)
  • 1.5" Schedule 80 A36 structural pipe or tubing with an ID larger than 1.500" and an OD smaller than 2.250"
  • 63.5" tube/pipe length for short bed applications
  • 77.5" tube/pipe length for long bed applications

SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Rod End Thread Size: 1-1/4"-12 (2 left-hand and 2 right-hand threads)
  • Weld-In Bung Outside Diameter: 2"
  • Bung Insert Diameter: 1.470"
