When you're towing a heavy trailer that needs a larger drop, getting the trailer level is only part of the challenge. You also want to avoid feeling every bump, dip, and jolt through your truck. The Gen-Y Hitch BOSS Torsion-Flex Adjustable Drop Hitch uses built-in rubber torsion arms to help absorb road shock and allow the truck and trailer to move more independently. This helps reduce bounce, sway, and harsh impacts for a smoother, more controlled towing experience. Gen-Y reports up to a 90% smoother ride compared to a traditional rigid hitch, helping reduce stress on your truck, trailer, and cargo.
Designed for towing setups that need a 15-inch to 21-inch drop, this BOSS is available in select 16K and 21K configurations. Its adjustable design lets you position the hitch at different heights to help keep your trailer level without sacrificing the benefits of Torsion-Flex suspension. Each configuration includes a dual-ball mount with both 2-inch and 2-5/16-inch hitch balls, with select options also including a pintle lock for compatible lunette-ring trailers. Built from heavy-duty steel and made in the USA, the BOSS is designed for demanding towing applications and tested to exceed SAE J684 weight-testing requirements.
Choosing the right configuration starts with Towing Capacity. The 16K option is available with a 2-inch receiver and 17.5-inch drop, while the 21K options use a 2.5-inch receiver with 15-inch, 18-inch, or 21-inch drops. Next, select the Receiver Size / Drop that matches your truck and the adjustment range needed to level your trailer. Finally, choose your Hitch Option. The 16K configuration includes a dual-ball mount and pintle lock, while the 21K configurations offer either the dual-ball mount alone or the dual-ball mount with pintle lock.
