Gen-Y reports up to a 90% smoother ride compared to a traditional rigid hitch, helping reduce stress on your truck, trailer, and cargo. Designed to replace a traditional rigid weight distribution shank, the BOSS works with a compatible weight distribution head and spring-bar system to provide a smoother towing experience without requiring an entirely new hitch setup. Available in 10K, 16K, and 21K towing capacities, with 2-inch, 2.5-inch, and 3-inch receiver options, it offers multiple drop heights and adjustable mounting positions to help position your trailer at the proper towing height. Built from heavy-duty steel with a durable silver-vein powder-coated finish, this USA-made shank is designed for demanding towing applications and is tested to SAE J684 standards. IMPORTANT NOTES: This is a weight distribution shank, not a complete weight distribution hitch system. A compatible weight distribution head and spring bars are required and sold separately. For anyone with a truck that obviously uses it to tow at least some kind of trailer, determining the proper ball mount for each trailer can be an unduly pain. While the height of your truck doesn't typically change very often, each trailer can have varying heights coupled with varying ball sizes. At this point, you have several options.
