"The factory lift pump failed on my Dodge 3500 dully 5. 9L Cummins at about 198,000 miles. I wanted a better pump and filtering system. So, after research I selected the Velocity 100 because it is not loud like other pumps, offers a relatively easy install and the quality and performance I was looking for. I installed it a couple weeks ago and notice better performance right away, as the 5. 9L seems to run stronger. I will note that I upgraded the factory fuel tank to the Titian 60 gal. tank a couple years ago. As a result of this, we had relocate mounting to the frame since my larger tank occupies the space intended with the install kit but it wasn't a big deal. I give the 4 star rating only because the product requires a dedicated filter. I use this truck for work and tow a 18,000 lb 5th wheel. Given the fact that a pump failure could be catastrophic in this situation, I am going to install a pressure gauge so I can monitor fuel supply pressure and avoid this situation."
