Description
Are you looking to upgrade your intake manifold and grid heater? When the factory hardware fails, it can send debris directly into the engine with catastrophic results. The Fleece Intake Manifold & Grid Heater Upgrade is designed to eliminate that concern while improving airflow and overall intake efficiency. Instead of relying on the restrictive factory-style setup, this system replaces it with a high-flow intake horn and a safer, more robust heating element design that’s built for long-term reliability. The smoother, less restrictive intake path supports improved airflow and more consistent performance whether the truck is towing or daily driving. Unlike basic grid heater delete plates, this setup retains cold-weather functionality with an upgraded coil-style heating element, making it a practical solution for trucks that still need reliable cold starts in lower temperatures. The killer grid heater bolt on the OEM intake system can loosen or break off over time and be drawn into the engine through the intake, causing catastrophic engine damage. This kit from fleece deletes the factory design, giving you peace of mind that your Cummins will stay reliable day in and day out. The system is built around a high-flow intake horn and intake plate assembly designed as a direct replacement for the factory components. Fleece replaces the OEM-style grid heater with a heavy-duty coil heating element, eliminating the problematic factory mounting hardware while maintaining intake air heating for cold-weather operation. Built as a direct-fit system for 6.7L Cummins-equipped Ram trucks, it maintains compatibility with factory-style fuel system components and dual alternator configurations, making it a clean, OE-style upgrade focused on airflow, reliability, and long-term durability. Do You Frequently Drive In Cold Climates? The Fleece Cold Weather Add-On Kit is designed for use with the Fleece Performance intake and grid heater system on 6.7L Cummins applications, providing proven cold-start capability down to -35°C (-31°F) when properly configured. The heater is strategically placed within the intake air stream to deliver efficient, direct air heating, helping ensure reliable starts in extreme cold conditions without unnecessary strain on the system.
