TIMELINE OF FLEECE PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING:
  • 2008: Fleece Performance Engineering was established in North Salem, IN by Brayden and Chase Fleece. Both had a passion for continuously innovating and improving upon products already on the market. Brayden's 2004.5 LLY Duramax became the test bed to develop the TurboBrake and Duramax Cheetah, while Chase's 2002 Cummins was one of the first Cummins pickups to integrate an Allison Transmission.
  • 2012: Fleece Performance upgrades both facility and location by relocating to Nitro Alley in Brownsburg, IN situated among some of the top racing leaders in the world.
  • 2014: Fleece Performance acquires the area's premier engine machine shop, Freedom Racing Engines. The acquisition enables Fleece Performance to expand the engine development program and product offerings. Today, Fleece Performance and Freedom Racing Engines build some of the most competitive engines in the industry.
  • 2018: Fleece Performance breaks ground on a new 75,000 sq. ft. facililty in Pittsboro, IN.

Freeze plug is the hardest part

"My freeze plug ended up getting pushed into the water jacket. I pulled the motor and had it fished out in no time. Cleaned up the area really well prior to install. Installation was even easier since I was sitting on the transmission. It's a shame to hide such a beautiful part at the back of the motor."

Fleece coolant bypass

"I had already blown the rear freeze plug and only needed to clean the surface area to install the kit. The rear thermostat fit perfectly and the hose running to the front was the perfect length. Easy 1 hour or less install. It takes a bit of getting used to both thermostats opening at different times but it works very well and helps keep the engine just a bit cooler. The real test will come in the summer."

I would buy this product again

"Everything installed fairly easily , except for the left side bolt. I had to install and tighten from under the truck with a long extension. I have this product 4 stars because it came with hose clamps and Allen head bolts I couldn't use , otherwise it outstanding . Temp while running down the highway has dropped a few degrees , at idle there is a noticeable drop"
