Even though many know PPEI as the most capable at building horsepower, they also specialize in maximizing the efficiency and reliability of the everyday Duramax built for towing and daily driving.
DSP5 SWITCH OPTION
We offer this package both including a single performance tuning file or with a set of five tunes. For those opting for a single tune, you will not need a switch to change power levels, but for those going with our most popular option of five tunes, you'll want the ability to change power levels. For those that would like this ability, we offer two options:
You can add a DSP5 Switch, which is a simple rotary knob that will allow you to toggle between the five power levels on the fly.
The 2001-2005 Duramax's has the ability to toggle between these power levels through the Edge Insight (similar to when using the DSP5 switch). PPEI needs to know if you plan using the Edge Insight, because it must be programmed into the AutoCal. If you do not plan on using the Edge Insight please select the DSP5 switch.
For 2006-2007 model years, the DSP5 Switch is the only method to change tunes
OPTIONAL TRANSMISSION (TCM) TUNINGFor those with an automatic transmission equipped Duramax, you have the option to add PPEI's exclusive TCM (Transmission Control Module) tuning that will deliver a crisp shift pattern optimized to work in tandem with their engine tuning calibration. For people selecting TCM tuning PPEI needs the operating system number from the TCM which is not retrievable without the Autocal first. You will need to retrieve your TCM Operating system number once you receive your autocal and call us back with it to get the TCM tuning that will then be sent to your email in 1-2 business days. If you are not sure how to get your OS number, please contact us.
VERY IMPORTANT: This tuning package requires that you have an EFILive device to load the tunes onto. If you are using an AutoCal, it must be originally from PPEI. In the event you have an AutoCal originally from another tuner, you would need to send the device to them in order to be unlinked, and then send the AutoCal to PPEI in order to link the AutoCal to accept the PPEI tunes. If you are using a V2 device, you will be able to load the tunes. However, if you are loading the tunes onto a new vehicle, you will need to purchase an additional VIN license to load the additional set of tunes onto the V2.

- I have a lb7 and I got tuning from you guys and now I am installing bigger injectors and a lift pump and just wondering if I need a tune for that and if so how do I get new tunes without having to buy another autocal v3? Any help would be appreciated

- IF i have a 4.5 in cold air intake, does that mean the tunes will be a little faster?
- It will be the same power levels just a remapped tune due to the increased airflow.
- Is a v2 the autocal v3, also I got the autocal v3 and it’s from motor ops, will I have to send that in or is that the same as a ppei one.
- You can use either a V2 or V3 with these EFI Live tunes. You will not need to send it in first as the tunes come in an email.
- Is this tune still available for purchase for an LB7?? I know a lot of stuff is going on with EPA, I saw the tunes on back order, looking to buy an autocal v3 and this tune, is this still possible?
- Hello Jaxon, You can still purchase tunes. PPEI are about a week out for getting the device out.
- Can tunes still be made for trucks that have deleted EGR’s? I have a 2004 lly duramax.
