Are you Frustrated with loose and wandering steering? The ProLock Drag Link End from Apex Chassis is designed to restore tight, precise steering performance at the pitman arm connection. Installed on the right-hand, threaded pitman-arm side of the drag link, this heavy-duty steering joint keeps the steering linkage firmly connected to the steering box, helping eliminate slop and maintain accurate steering input. Whether you’re replacing a worn joint or upgrading your steering system for lifted or off-road use, this drag link end delivers improved control, durability, and confidence behind the wheel. The ProLock drag link end is engineered for extreme strength and long service life in demanding steering applications. A forged steel housing is CNC-machined to precise tolerances and superior structural integrity, while a hot-forged SAE 4140 chromoly ball stud is induction heat-treated to withstand heavy steering loads and high-stress conditions. Rolled threads increase thread strength and durability compared to traditional cut threads, ensuring reliable adjustment and secure installation. A rugged bearing design provides consistent steering feedback, while a CR rubber accordion boot protects the joint from dirt, moisture, oil, and extreme temperatures. An electro-coated finish adds corrosion resistance, and the greaseable design with pre-threaded zerk fittings allows proper lubrication for extended service life. Built-in articulation features allow increased stud movement while limiting unwanted rotation, improving stability and longevity in high-articulation suspension systems. Easy, if you've leveled or lifted the truck's suspension, it will push the front axle towards the drivers side due to triangulation. Many "steering" companies make tubes and then outsource the most complicated and important part of the system, the ends. At APEX every component in your steering system is designed, engineered and manufactured by APEX to work together for the best possible system. In an APEX steering system, they also ensure that all the geometry is built into the forged steel ends, so you will never see bends in the tubes. Bends in tubes are used as an inexpensive way to re-purpose straight tie rod ends when a custom engineered off-set tie rod should be used.
