Description

Upgrade the bottom end of your Duramax with the DmaxStore Performance Main Stud Kit, designed to provide stronger, more consistent clamping of the main caps than the factory torque-to-yield main bolts. Replacing the factory hardware is especially worthwhile during an engine rebuild or performance build, helping keep the main caps securely in place and reducing the potential for unwanted movement under increased cylinder pressure and engine load. Made from 8740 chromoly steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion protection, the kit includes everything needed to replace the factory main hardware: 10 performance main studs, 10 flat main stud washers, 10 high-strength 12-point nuts, 10 main side bolts, 10 main side bolt washers, high-torque fastener assembly lubricant, and installation instructions. This kit will not work with aftermarket main girdle kits, so verify your engine configuration before installation.
