Designed as a direct OE replacement, this extended-length filter provides 75% more filter media than a standard filter, giving it greater capacity to capture contaminants while maintaining proper oil flow. With filtration down to 5 microns, it helps keep engine oil cleaner and provides added protection for the internal components of your Duramax. Inside, the filter combines enhanced filter media with a perforated metal core for strength and durability, while a steel-coil relief spring bypass valve helps maintain consistent oil flow under high-pressure conditions. An NBR anti-drainback valve helps keep oil in the filter between starts for quicker lubrication, and EZ-Off technology makes filter removal easier during routine maintenance.
