DmaxStore High Flow Thermostat Kit 01-16 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7/LLY/LBZ/LMM/LML

Description

Keep your Duramax cooling system operating at the proper temperature with the DmaxStore High Flow Thermostat Kit. Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory thermostats, these upgraded thermostats open at the same temperatures as stock while opening faster and allowing increased coolant flow. The result is quicker heat transfer when temperatures rise, more consistent coolant temperatures, and reduced strain on the water pump impeller. This makes the kit a smart upgrade for high-mileage trucks, trucks experiencing cooling issues, or applications where the water pump and other cooling system components are being upgraded. The kit includes one 185°F thermostat and one 180°F thermostat, providing the complete pair required for the Duramax cooling system. These thermostats replace GM part numbers 97241129 and 97241130 and are sold as a set. The oil filler tube O-ring and upper coolant pipe seal are not included, but DmaxStore recommends replacing both during thermostat service to help prevent leaks.

About DMAXStore

DmaxStore is dedicated to one thing: helping GMC and Chevy Duramax diesel owners get the most out of their trucks. Since 2007, DmaxStore has built its reputation around Duramax-specific parts, performance upgrades, replacement components, and technical knowledge for diesel truck enthusiasts.

Rather than trying to cover every make and model, DmaxStore focuses specifically on the Duramax platform. That specialization allows the company to carefully select products for their quality, performance, fitment, and value while providing customers with knowledgeable support when choosing parts for their trucks.

Duramax Parts From People Who Know Duramax Trucks

DmaxStore was founded after its owner spent seven years working for one of the largest GM dealers in the United States, where he earned the GM Mark of Excellence award. That experience helped establish the foundation for a business centered entirely around the GMC and Chevy Duramax diesel community.

Today, DmaxStore offers parts and upgrades covering a wide range of Duramax applications, from the original LB7 through the latest generations of the L5P, along with Duramax-powered Colorado and Canyon applications. Their product selection includes everything from maintenance and replacement parts to fuel-system upgrades, suspension components, drivetrain parts, steering upgrades, engine performance products, and more.

Performance, Replacement & Upgrade Parts

Whether you're maintaining a high-mileage Duramax, restoring an older Silverado or Sierra, or building a truck for increased performance, DmaxStore offers products designed around the needs of diesel truck owners.
