Upgrade the factory fuel filtration on your Duramax with the DmaxStore Billet Fuel Filter Adapter, allowing your truck to run a higher-quality CAT or Donaldson fuel filter in place of the stock paper-style filter. The factory filter can become a weak point if the paper element collapses and allows contaminants to enter the fuel system, while this adapter provides a simple way to step up to improved filtration without installing a complicated dual-filter setup. Precision-machined in the USA from billet aluminum, the adapter features a durable black anodized finish and has compatible filter part numbers engraved directly for easy reference during future filter changes. It is designed to accept a CAT 2-micron 1R-0750 filter or Donaldson 4-micron P553203 filter, while maintaining the factory fuel-flow path across the PTC heating element for effective cold-weather operation. A dedicated socket tool is included for installation and can be used with a 36mm socket or 1/2-inch drive ratchet, making the conversion straightforward. On 3.0L LM2 and LZ0 applications, the replacement filter will hang below the frame rail, so this should be considered when selecting the adapter for your truck.
