Upgrade the front drivetrain of your lifted or leveled LML Duramax with the DMAX Extended Travel Front CV Axle Assembly. Designed specifically for 2011–2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD trucks with the LML Duramax, this extended-travel CV axle provides substantially more articulation and suspension travel than the factory axle. With up to 47° of articulation compared to approximately 23° with the OE axle, the DMAX extended-travel design helps reduce CV joint bind and stress at increased ride heights. An upgraded 8-ball CV joint distributes load across more contact points for improved strength and durability during demanding suspension movement. Replaces: GM 25856606 A 34mm socket is required for CV axle nut removal. Built for Lifted & Leveled LML Duramax Trucks Lifted and leveled trucks can place the front CV axles at significantly steeper operating angles than stock. The DMAX Extended Travel CV Axle is designed with additional plunge and articulation to better accommodate increased suspension travel while reducing stress on the CV joint. For LML Duramax owners running increased ride height, the DMAX Extended Travel Front CV Axle provides increased articulation, upgraded CV components, and a stronger solution for handling the additional demands of lifted and leveled suspension setups. Important Installation Notes The DMAX axle shaft is thicker than the factory unit, so clearance should be verified on trucks equipped with aftermarket coilover lift kits. If your truck currently uses CV axle spacers, those spacers must remain installed. Optional factory-length CV hardware is available, but it is not compatible with CV axle spacers. DMAX also notes that the replacement hardware uses 17mm heads compared to the factory hardware's 15mm heads, which can create clearance concerns with some lift kits. Reusing the factory hardware is recommended for applications where clearance is limited.
