"Starter gear is stuck out and will not start truck. Starter makes a grinding noise when you try to start it. Went to power master to try and get it replaced and they want it sent in so they can look at it. This is highly inconvenient. I bought this hoping it would be better than an OEM and last longer but that did not happen."

- Does this replace the Mitsubishi nose cone starter that is for the automatic e4od mated to 7.3 idi factory turbo (94)?
- This is a direct replacement for the factory starter and will work with the E4OD transmission and early 1994 IDI, yes.
- How does this compare to a stock unit, what exactly are the differences that make it superior?
- They are a gear reduction style starter that used less amps to crank faster. The tech that was on there is direct drive usually and required alot more power. -Sands
