Take your 6.0L or 6.4L Ford Powerstroke performance build to the next level with the Colt Cams Stage 3 Camshaft. Developed through extensive collaboration with leading performance shops, this competition-oriented camshaft is designed to improve volumetric efficiency, helping the engine move exhaust gases out more effectively while drawing in a greater charge of fresh air.
The Stage 3 camshaft features a 192°/209° cam profile and is precision-machined from a brand-new steel billet with a stock base circle diameter. Colt Cams heat-treats the camshaft to a depth five times greater than OEM specifications for increased durability and wear resistance. The result is a high-performance camshaft engineered for demanding applications and reliable operation at engine speeds up to 5,000 RPM.

Installation Requirements
This Stage 3 camshaft requires valve relief before installation. Always verify valve-to-piston and valve-to-valve clearances and confirm proper timing location before starting the engine. Colt Cams recommends turning the engine over by hand during installation to verify clearances and timing.
Break-In Procedure
Although break-in is not required for engines equipped with roller tappets, Colt Cams recommends a break-in procedure to help promote component longevity. Apply cam lube to the cam lobes, lifter faces, distributor gears, and oil pump gears. Oil the bearing journals and lifter barrels, then run the engine at approximately 1,800–2,000 RPM for 18–20 minutes.
