The 6.0L Powerstroke found in 2003-2007 Fords were a pretty capable 325 Horsepower unit. And factory parts were built around those capabilities. With time, mileage and desire for greater power and performance, the factory Flexplate starts to fail. The factory flex plate was manufactured out of stamped steel, and as your power production grows, becomes prone to tearing and coming apart.
