And for those trying to bulletproof their 6.0, a great upgrade to accomplish this is to convert the stock electrically operated fan clutch to a mechanical version, and to get the job done, you'll need this adapter.
The Bullet Proof Diesel Fan Clutch Adapter will allow you to convert your fan clutch from the electrical, computer controlled 6.0L cooling fan assembly to the rugged, mechanical fan clutch found on the 1997 Ford 7.3L diesel.
This is a great product for fleets, company vehicles and those that participate in heavy towing applications.OPTIONS:We give you the option to purchase only the adapter, or as a complete kit with the correct 1997 model year Powerstroke mechanical fan clutch. If you're not sure where to source the fan from, make sure and pick up the complete kit.

I ordered 2 parts 1 made it and one did not both came through separate shipping companies 1 fedex is chipping companies 1 fedex 1 UPS. Still waiting on the company to figure out what went wrong and where the parts actually are. Kind of annoying to be waiting on a shipping error. - If I buy the whole kit, do I need to buy a new fan blade assy, as well? or does the OEM fan blade bolt up? 2007 F250
- Your existing fan blade will bolt directly up to the 7.3 clutch as provided in the optional kit.
- Do I need to purchase a fan clutch accelerator switch with this product?
- No you do not need any electronics with this set-up. Thank you.
- Is this adapter specific to the BulletProof Diesel Water Pump? Or is it compatible with the stock 6.0L water pump?
- This adapter will work with any water pump, does not need to be a bulletproof one.
