Factory Steering Style
Description
Replace your tired and worn stabilizer shock on your Dodge Ram with this upgraded stabilizer from Bilstein. This is a direct replacement to the factory unit and features superior dampening compared to the factory piece to deliver a more stable and consistent steering. There are two types of steering found on heavy duty Rams, commonly referred to as either T-Style or Y-Style. First and foremost, for owners of 2008.5-2013 Rams, these trucks all came from the factory with T-Style steering. However, for 2003-2008 owners, you could have either. These trucks came from the factory with Y-Style, but many were converted to T-Style. If you are unsure of what steering you have, the easiest way to determine is to look at the mounting of the existing stabilizer. If it mounts to the centerlink (bar that goes horizontally wheel to wheel) through a hole in the centerlink, then you have the older Y-Style steering. If you have a plate with two u-bolts, then you have the newer, T-Style. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call.

Today, Bilstein still produces OE shocks for numerous vehicle manufacturers, but has further pushed the limits with full race ready shock and coilover kits that are used in numerous complete aftermarket suspension kits. What all this translates into is assurance that upgrading your truck with a set of Bilstein shocks and/or a steering stabilizer is a smart long-term investment in ride quality.
