Would rate lower if it were possible
"Not impressed at all! So I ordered this because I wanted the economy tune for a trip we were taking in the LLY Duramax truck. Paid for semi rush shipping and would have been more than enough lead way to get to me prior to the trip. Long story short it was delivered the day we left and we were 6hrs away when it was delivered. No biggie it's just my luck, it could be raining gold and diamonds and I could put a bucket in the yard and catch nothing but mud! So we get back 2 weeks later and I decide I was going to put the economy tune on the truck. I'm on the very back of my farm and had read the manual around 6 times front to back. I feel I'm ready to plug it in after taking every precaution possible and then some including having Banks on the phone. Now, I'm not new to the technical world, I work as a technical service rep at a global company. So with Banks tech support on the phone, all fuses disconnected listed plus hvac fuses. All of which are only listed for newer vehicles not an '05. We connect and start the process. Programmer pulls and saves factory tune then it goes to push economy tune. . . . fails. no biggie we try again, fails. Agent suggests starting truck NOTHING there! He then says you have to get your ECM reflashed. Ok who does that? Chevrolet! No sir I don't believe. TSA. . . well we need a battery charger connected when we try. me. . . sir did you not hear me when I said I am on the very back of my farm 1. 75 miles from a road, no battery charger or a person to give me a ride. TSA. . . let me connect you with my boss. . . . So long story of back n fourth and in the end we agreed on them shipping me a box and I would then have my ECM ready to go in it with the bum Programmer. We then discussed what to do with the Programmer because I had no use for something of the sort that trashes my truck if it's used. He says when I get my ECM back to call him and he will handle the refund. Let's ffw to today and I have yet to get a return phone call from Jeff @ Banks to start the RMA. So why and what does DPP have to do with this review. . . . . none other than they carry the product and the extra money spent was 100% a waste of money bc it was delivered as if it were snail mailed. Positive to it. . . . . . had this of happened before my trip I would have lost my marbles! Instead it was handled as I would have at my job! For the record. . . . the manuel does NOT state use a battery charger at the same time to prevent voltage drop. Stupid statement here. . . . there is 2 batteries so I need 2 chargers? Still it was not mentioned or I would have done it in my mechanics shop! No hard feelings DPP I just will NEVER give a donation for "Rushed service" again! Have a great day"
