The standard Cobalt fuel level gauges use an electric air-core movement with additional pointer dampening to help reduce fluctuations caused by fuel slosh, providing more stable readings while driving. Available sender ranges include 0–90, 73–8 ohms, 73–10 ohms, 240–33 ohms, and 16–158 ohms. A separate stepper motor version offers a programmable sender range for added flexibility when matching different fuel systems.
