The SunCoast Allison Single Disc Billet upgraded torque converter is an excellent basic upgrade for customers with 2001-2010 Duramax platforms. This Allison torque converter comes standard with a fully machined, forged apply piston to alleviate deflection under higher apply pressure. This helps ensure that the upgraded torque converter performs consistently for the life of the vehicle. SunCoast's Allison torque converter also has upgraded friction material with greater thermal capacity for improved performance when towing under heavy loads.This torque converter is ideal for a customer with a stock vehicle, as it has a stock stator and will retain the stock stall speed of 1800RPM. If you are looking to increase the performance of the factory unit and looking for a cost-effective solution, this is the converter for you. This converter, while great for heavy duty towing and hauling, is not intended for racing.
