When powering the grid heater, 200 amps pass through a small bolt and nut that run into the inside of the intake which holds the lower busbar in place. Over time that stud and nut is known to deteriorate and eventually arc and break off. This nut drops into the engine, leading to extensive damage to the piston, head, and valves. This kit upgrades that flawed electrical circuit by eliminating the problematic bolt and nut inside the intake while retaining stock functionality of the heater, is cost-effective, and is easy to install.
