Let's talk steering for a minute. From 2003 into 2008, Dodge Rams featured Y-Style steering. At this point, most people are aware of the drawbacks of that system. As the suspension cycles, both front tires are allowed changes in toe angle separate from each other. Add additional ride height, mileage, bigger tires, time and wear, and the effects of the toe changes grow exponentially. You'll experience vague steering feedback, abnormal tire wear, wandering drivability and in extreme cases the dreaded "death wobble." Eventually, in late 2008, Dodge stepped in with their fix for the control deficiencies. Their solution was a T-Style steering setup. While it did stabilize the steering in the Ram, there was symptomatic bump steer and in lifted applications, it's just not as stable as it needs to be.
