The 2006-07 6.6L LLY/LBZ GM Duramax's came factory equipped with a 3.5" turbo back aluminized exhaust with a catalytic converter and muffler. While this system is reasonably adequate for stock to mildly powered trucks a larger diameter syste or higher flowing system from Diamond Eye, Magnaflow, MBRP, Mel's Manufacturing, or Silverline is mandatory on ANY Duramax equipped with even mild upgrades, or for those towing heavy loads. And of course, there are other benefits to adding an exhaust kit besides purely functional, aftermarket kits not only sound good, but they look even better, especially with a nice tip to finish it off.
We offer several different configurations for your new exhaust kit. We offer a cat back system, for those wanting a simple installation with great sound, as well as a turbo direct pipe back that eliminates the factory catalytic converter, considered an "off-road" kit. And if you're looking to also replace the factory flattened out turbo direct pipe, we offer several high flow kits that are sold separately from the kits. And for those looking for something even more unique, try out a set of exhaust stacks by MBRP. Imagine a set of 6" Bullhauler turnout stacks protruding from the bed! And you wouldn't believe the shuddering sound they produce, either!
