Description

The 6.7L Cummins engine is one of the most capable engines ever produced. Some enthusiasts may argue this point, but with the combination of the larger displacement, a common rail fuel injection system, and numerous other upgrades, they are capable of being extremely powerful, yet still quite reliable for hundreds of thousands of miles. Sure, they've seen their fair share of head gasket related issues and an inefficient emissions system, but these issues are all alleviated relatively easily. We offer an assortment of mechanical engine components to help produce the consistent power you are looking for. There were some big changes to the 2019 Cummins engines. In 2019 the Cummins platform received a 400hp, 1,000 lb-ft torque rating setting a record for the first manufacture in the light duty segment to have an engine reach the 4-digit torque number. Cummins decided to go with a deep skirt compacted graphite iron (CGI) block that provided a large improvement in strength while also reducing weight by about 60 pounds. The powdered rods that caused some issues on the previous years were trashed for a set of forged steel connecting rods. Valvetrain improvements consist of self adjusting hydraulic lifters and a revised rocker arm and exhaust valve system. With that being said, this new engine design certainly has the capability to handle power improvements relatively easily and provide fantastic longevity.
