A faulty manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor could be part of the problem. The XDP Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor XD1045 is designed to replace the factory sensor and help restore accurate pressure readings. It monitors pressure in the intake manifold and sends that information to the engine's computer (ECM), helping it manage engine operation. When the original sensor fails, it can send incorrect readings that may affect how your truck runs or trigger a check engine light.

The XD1045 is built to match original equipment specifications for proper fit and dependable operation. Unlike MAP sensors that mount directly to the engine, this sensor attaches to a bracket on the passenger side under the hood and connects to the intake manifold through a small pressure hose. Its direct-fit design allows it to replace the original sensor without modifications, making it a straightforward option when your factory sensor needs replacement.

IMPORTANT SENSOR NOTE: When replacing the MAP sensor, inspect the pressure hose connecting it to the intake manifold for cracks, leaks, or other damage. A damaged hose can cause inaccurate pressure readings even when the sensor is working properly. Replace the hose if necessary to help ensure a proper repair.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0892/2487/2301/files/XD1045-XDP-manifold-absolute-pressure-sensor_2.jpg?v=1792621267
https://dieselpowerproducts.com/products/xdp-manifold-absolute-pressure-map-sensor-99-03-ford-7-3l-powerstroke
