This system removes water, \nparticulates, and entrained air from the diesel fuel. The entrained air \nthat is separated from the fuel is returned to the tank through a small \nreturn fitting. The fuel is delivered to the engine at the correct \npressure and flow rate to meet the demands of the engine under all \noperating conditions.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eThe AirDogII-5G \nDF-220 systems feature a built in adjustible diaphragm pressure \nregulator. All AirDog II-5G systems include a complete installation kit.\n The AirDog II-5G, for this particular application, is preset at 17 \npsi from the factory for a stock application. The regulator is adjustible up\n to 55 PSI so \nyou can fine tune the system to perfectly match up to your \ncurrent and future performance upgrades.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003eHOW IT WORKS:\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/div\u003eThe\n AirDog II-5G DF-220 draws fuel through a 5\/8” suction line to \nreduce the risk of cavitation at the pump. The fuel is then drawn \nthrough the water separator where 92% of water is removed per SAE spec \n1488. It is then pressurized through a Gerotor pump and sent to the 2 \nmicron fuel filter before it is sent to the injection pump. The air from\n aerated fuel, due to tank sloshing and engine return lines, is \nseparated and sent back to the tank through the 3\/8” return fitting.
