Ford did a pretty good job on designing their axle side track bar ball joint. The axle side joint on the 05-16 trucks is the same joint that's used in the 17-24 truck track bars. As good as they are designed, they're still a wear item and don't last forever. When you're replacing your track bar, it's a great time to replace your track bar ball joint as well.
