The addiction began when I got my first truck when I was 16, a 1977 Chevy K10 step side that I still have to this day. Quickly got into modifying the truck with a lift kit and bumpers I built in shop class, and then did a carbureted LS swap with the family tractor out in the front yard. As soon as I graduated high school I went straight into the Marines to operate and maintain Amphibious Assault vehicles that was powered by a 903 CI Cummins.
After returning from my first deployment the first thing I did was buy my first diesel, a 2001 Ram 2500 with just under 300k miles and it was an absolute gem. After throwing on an intake, exhaust and Edge Juice with Attitude I quickly discovered I had a problem. The addiction was real and took off quickly. Throughout my 8 years in the Marines while building my own trucks I also started doing installs for friends on their trucks expanding my tech experience. I personally have owned and built six different Cummins powered trucks and one 6.0 Powerstroke.
After leaving the Marines I moved to Avondale, Arizona and attended Universal Technical Institute for Diesel. I got a part time job while in school at a shop in Chandler, AZ called Truckwurx. At Truckwurx I gained an absolute ton of knowledge on bulletproofing Powerstrokes, installing lift kits/power adders/alignments and mount/balancing wheels and tires. We did a lot of the SEMA type builds. After a year or two there, COVID hit and I decided it was a good time to return to the PNW.
Once I moved back home, I eventually started my own mobile diesel service which quickly turned into a full shop that I ran for a few years. After some back injuries I decided enough was enough and here I am working at the best online diesel parts store in the country with some of the best people I have ever worked with.
