INDUSTRIAL INJECTION DIESEL PERFORMANCE

Industrial Injection's innovative product line has proven itself, over and over again, on the street and the strip. Diesel Power Products carries the complete line of turbos, twin turbos, injectors, stock and modified P7100's, stock and Hot Rod Vp44's, stock and modified Cp3 injection pumps and dual feed lines for both Duramax and Cummins. Industrial Injection is a family operated business, founded by Brady Williams, in 1985 and currently owned and operated by his wife and sons. Brady’s initial start in fuel injection was with a local shop, mopping floors after school. By 25, Brady was a master technician at the Association of Diesel Specialists for all manufactures of turbochargers and fuel equipment. With hard work, sacrifice, and a little help from fate, 30-year-old Brady opened the doors to Industrial Injection.

Industrial Injection received its name from servicing construction, agricultural, and mining equipment, as well as over the road truck engines. It was primarily an agricultural and industrial fuel shop. However, when Ford, Dodge and GM decided to power pickup trucks with diesel engines, Industrial Injection was forever changed.

We get a lot of calls and e-mails each day with various product, vehicle, and installation questions. Some are completely off the wall and can even catch us off guard at times, but many others are fairly routine, so we thought we'd post some of the most popular questions regarding Industrial Injection products that can hopefully be a good resource for you.

Q: Where is Industrial Injection based out of?
A: Industrial Injection's headquarters and operations are in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Q: How long has Industrial Injection been in business?
A: Industrial Injection was founded in 1985 by Brady Williams.

Q: Did Industrial Injection get started in diesel performance?
A: No, they got started out with servicing construction, agricultural, mining equipment, and over the road trucks. When the light duty trucks began offering diesel options in their pickup trucks, Industrial Injection saw an opportunity and they ran with it.

Q: I always hear about Industrial Injection's performance parts, but do they have any stock replacement parts?
A: Absolutely, yes! As previously stated, Industrial's roots come from servicing big trucks and equipment. They are certified rebuilders for numerous injection and turbo components and companies so you can trust their rebuilding processes as much as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Q: Why are most of Industrial Injection's performance injectors sold individually when you have to replace them as a set?
A: There's a few reasons to do it this way. First, it makes inventorying the parts easier. But also for those customers that only need to replace a single injector for whatever reason, offering them invidiually makes that process quite simple. Now, should you install one or two performance injectors mixed in with your old, stock injectors? No, definitely not.

Q: I see Industrial Injection offers standalone injector nozzles for much less than complete injectors. Can I just replace the nozzles for the same amount of power but way less money? A: That depends! If you have 200,000 miles, or heck, 30,000 miles on your existing injectors, then its really not an ideal situation replacing the nozzles with brand new as it can absolutely effect the spray pattern. But, if you've got a relatively new set of injectors, or you've had them tested as good, then by all means, you can merely replace the nozzles for that bump in power.

Q: I've heard a lot about their line of Phatshaft Turbos and a buddy of mine has a Phatshaft 66 on his 12 Valve Cummins. I just bought a truck and want to upgrade the turbo and will do the injectors and other stuff when I can. Will that work?
A: It will "work" but you'll hate it. Proper turbo sizing is imperative to ensure that a truck drives and performs well. If a turbo is too big for the amount of fuel being injected into the cylinders, the air/fuel ratio is too far off and the truck will have great difficulty in making any kind of usable power because the turbo will not "light." Conversely, having too small of a turbo compared to the amount of fueling means you'll have issues with overheating and excessive smoke. It's important to install a turbo(s) properly sized for your fueling, tire size, gear ratio, altitude, driving habits, transmission, and more. If you're not sure what turbo is right for you and your truck, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Q: Is custom ECM tuning required to run a Phatshaft turbo?
A: Maybe! Yes, once again, it depends. The most simplistic way to know is if your existing turbo has electronics on it now, such as for an electronic wastegate, but the new turbo does not, then yes, you'll need something to make sure you don't get a Check Engine Light. Sometimes its as simple as "Boost Fooler" and sometimes you'll need custom ECM tuning. If you're not sure, feel free to contact us.

Q: I see options for both "Reman" and "Industrial Injection Reman" injectors. What's the difference?
A: Injectors, especially common rail, have several "levels." First, you have a BRAND NEW injector and the only company that actually manufactures these "new" is Bosch. Then, you have "remanufactured" or "reman" for short which is when the injector(s) has been used in an engine before, but then rebuilt to new specs so it can be reused in another engine. Bosch, the original manufacturer remanufactures their injectors and resells them, and honestly, they do a pretty good job of it. Next, injector shops, such as Industrial Injection, can also take the "core" (used) injectors and rebuild them. Now, some injector shops are better or worse than the next at this process. Fortunately, Industrial Injection has all of the expensive machines, highly trained technicians, and Bosch certifications to ensure they're one of the "good ones" at rebuilding injectors. That said, Industrial Injection realizes that some still prefer a genuine Bosch reman so they still have that as an option, but also have their own in-house remans.
