A diesel engine is essentially an air pump. Any restrictions in the incoming air charge and its not able to act as efficiently as it could otherwise. On your 6.7L Powerstroke, the factory air to water intercooler is the largest restriction in the system, slowing air velocity substantially. Upgrading to this replacement from No Limit will substantially reduce this restriction.
