White smoke? Hard Start? Missing or ticking noises? No start at all? It could be that you have 1 or more bad injectors. While common rail injectors are a necessity with today's engines to create the efficiency and power, they are also susceptible to wear more so than older, non-common rail injectors, as they are exposed to extremely high pressures. Injector failure on the 07.5+ Common Rail Dodge Cummins trucks is usually caused by either bad fuel or the use of power adders that increase rail pressure. Bad fuel can cause injector failure immediately, pressure boxes will cause failure over time.

Bosch has long been a recognizable name in the automotive industry. For those unaware, vehicle manufacturers outsource a sizable amount of the components that go into the production of vehicles, and Bosch is one of the companies that have had long standing relationships with a plethora of manufacturers over the years to build numerous vital components. In the diesel industry, Bosch is most known for producing original equipment injectors and injection pumps for use in Ram trucks powered by a Cummins engine, Chevrolet and GMC's with a Duramax diesel, and Ford SuperDuty's sporting Powerstroke engines. Rest assured that if you purchase Bosch Fuel Injection parts from us that you are only getting Bosch certified new or Bosch certified reman parts with the full factory warranty.
For the diesel market, Bosch gained considerable notoriety with the design and implementation of the common rail fuel injection system found originally on LB7 Duramax’s, then two years later with the 2003 Cummins, and finally available in 2008 on the 6.4L Powerstroke. While this may have been when Bosch was most noticed in this industry, their roots go back much further, building the original equipment HPOP (High Pressure Oil Pumps) for early Powerstrokes, the VE and VP44 injection pumps on Cummins, and injectors throughout nearly all applications. For current era light duty diesels, basically you can nearly conclude that if fuel touches it, it was most likely originally built by Bosch.
And while we continue to mention injection pumps and injectors, its SO much more than that. As previously mentioned, if fuel touches it, you can be pretty sure that Bosch made it, including the Fuel Control Actuators (FCA) also known as an MPROP that are mounted to the injection pump, Rail Pressure Sensors, and even Pressure Relief Valves. They're all made by Bosch! And finally, outside the realm of fueling, we offer Bosch Wiper Blades (yes, they make those too) because, honestly, they make a really nice wiper blade that works.
And you won’t just find Bosch in factory parts. The majority of aftermarket manufacturers or rebuilders do not build components from scratch. Rather, they start off with factory Bosch core pieces, and then remanufacture those for a final product. So whether you're simply in need of a single injector, or needing a full set of matched injectors with injection pump, we've got you covered, and can typically get the parts out almost immediately to get your stranded truck back on the road again.

We get a lot of calls and e-mails each day with various product,
vehicle, and installation questions. Some are completely off the wall
and can even catch us off guard at times, but many others are fairly
routine, so we thought we'd post some of the most popular questions that
can hopefully be a good resource for you.
Q: What is the difference between remanufactured (reman) and new?
A: In the automotive industry, most products are manufactured from brand
new materials. However, numerous products are also remanufactured,
meaning that the manufacturer of the product takes a used product,
typically removed from a vehicle, disassembles, and replaces all worn
components of the master product. A great example of this is in regards
to automatic transmissions in which the manufacturer takes an existing
transmission, replaces all of the inner working components, such as the
torque converter, valve body, etc. and merely reuses the case.In the case of Bosch, the most prevalent example is common rail injectors. We offer both new and remanufactured common rail injectors. For a brand new injector, it is as the name implies and uses all brand new components, including the injector body, solenoid, valve, etc. and no components have ever been used in a vehicle. On the contrary, a remanufactured injector will typically have all of the traditional wear items, such as the nozzle, valve, etc. replaced with new, but the non-wear items such as the body, will be reused as they are not known to wear out and cause any degradation of performance.
Q: On a remanufactured injection pump or injector, what does Bosch actually replace?
A: Because Bosch is an original equipment manufacturer meaning that they are supplying their components to be used in the original manufacture of engines and other powertrain components to be used in brand new vehicles, it means that they are very good at what they do, including the process of remanufacturing components. While each individual component will vary in the complexity of what is replaced, you can rest assured with genuine Bosch remanufactured components that anything deemed a "wear" item, is going to be replaced with a new unit to bring the part back to the equivalent of a brand new part.
Q: What is a "Core Charge"?
A: Because aftermarket manufacturers require a steady stream of incoming cores to build, they charge a deposit on the core, known as a core charge, that is refunded upon receipt. In some cases, the core is not reusable, such as in the event of a cracked case, at which point the core deposit would not be credited as the core component is not reusable. We at Diesel Power Products offer a deferred core program in which we allow you to defer the typical core charge you'd normally have to pay for upfront, only to be refunded upon returning your core part. And when it comes to big-ticket items, such as transmissions that can have core charges nearing $3,000, that can easily mean the difference between affording that part and havng to go without. Think of it as putting the core on an open tab for you and once your core is received within the allotted time allowed, we'll delete the charge altogether, so you never have to pay it! In order to take advantage of the Deferred Core Program, you merely need to pay via credit card for the new parts and agree to the terms of the program, simple as that!
Q: Are the remanufactured parts listed as "Bosch" actually remanufactured by Bosch, or someone else?
A: We get this question a lot because a lot of companies will call something a "Bosch Reman" because it was originally manufactured by Bosch when it was new, and then it was remanufactured, but not necessarily remanufactured by Bosch. All of the remanufactured Bosch products on this page were indeed remanufactured by Bosch themselves, using genuine Bosch components.
Q: Why is this genuine Bosch part so much less expensive from you? Is it a knock off?
A: Bosch distribution has a unique hierarchy that makes it difficult for many companies selling Bosch directly to the consumer to access, requiring them to buy through numerous "middle-men" to even source the product. As with any product, each of those exchanges will want their cut, increasing the cost each time. Long ago we secured a relationship that grants us better access to genuine Bosch products, allowing us to offer their products at a premium price.
If you've got a question about replacing a Bosch component on your vehicle, feel free to give us a call at 888-99-DIESEL and we
would be happy to assist.
