AFE POWER PERFORMANCE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
Since its founding in 1999, AFE Power (Advanced Flow Engineering) has been a leader in diesel performance. Built to improve airflow, fuel efficiency, and overall vehicle power, AFE Power products are engineered to handle the demands of diesel enthusiasts and professionals alike.
From AFE cold air intakes to high-performance exhausts, AFE Power offers a complete lineup of parts to boost your truck’s performance. Whether you’re running a Cummins, Powerstroke, or Duramax engine, Diesel Power Products has a full range of AFE Power parts to maximize your vehicle’s potential.
AFE COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS FOR MAXIMUM AIRFLOW
One of AFE Power’s best-known products is the AFE cold air intake system, designed to increase airflow and improve combustion efficiency. With options for both open and closed systems, AFE cold air intakes are built to optimize horsepower and throttle response. For those aiming to push their trucks to the limit, these intakes provide the airflow needed for consistent, powerful performance.
AFE FILTERS FOR DIESEL ENGINES
AFE filters are made with various filter media to suit different driving environments. Choose from the Pro 5R, Pro 10R, Pro-GUARD 7, and Pro DRY S filters to achieve the right balance of airflow and filtration. Engineered with multiple layers of protection, AFE filters capture finer debris while maintaining excellent airflow, extending your engine's life and efficiency.
AFE POWER EXHAUST SYSTEMS FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
Upgrading to an AFE Power exhaust system reduces backpressure and increases exhaust flow, allowing for improved performance and fuel efficiency. Built with premium materials, these exhausts provide a deeper sound without compromising factory emissions. AFE Power’s exhaust options help you achieve a cleaner, more efficient burn while adding an aggressive tone to your truck’s performance.

Q: What does AFE stand for?
A: Advanced Flow Engineering
Q: How long has aFe been in business?
A: aFe began operations in 1999
Q: I see that aFe offers both an open and a closed style cold air intake for my truck. Which is better?
A: In general, a closed, or sometimes called sealed, intake is the best option. The reasoning is that in most cases, the sealed version can do a better job of retaining the cooler air being brought in from the grill area and keeping it contained within the airbox to be ingested by the turbo, and not allowing it to escape to the engine bay. That said, this only related when a closed airbox is able to house a properly sized filter. In some instances, in order to even get a big enough filter in the engine bay to allow for real performance gains, an open style is necessary. All that said, many simply prefer the appearance and simplicity of an open style air box so if you're not trying to squeeze every last horsepower and prefer an open style, go for it!
Q: What makes AFE cold air intakes different from other brands?
A: AFE cold air intakes stand out due to their rigorous engineering and testing processes. Each intake is designed to optimize airflow, resulting in improved combustion and horsepower. AFE uses high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing techniques, such as CAD design and 3D printing, to ensure a precision fit and exceptional durability. Additionally, AFE offers a variety of intake options, including both open and closed systems, allowing drivers to choose the setup that best meets their performance needs.
Q: How does an AFE filter improve my engine’s performance?
A: An AFE filter is engineered to provide superior airflow while capturing fine particles that could damage your engine. By allowing more air to reach the engine, AFE filters improve combustion efficiency, leading to better throttle response, horsepower gains, and even improved fuel economy. Their layered, oiled filter options trap more contaminants, making them ideal for demanding environments, while the dry filters are convenient for regular road use, requiring less maintenance.
Q: What types of vehicles are AFE Power parts compatible with?
A: AFE Power offers a comprehensive range of products for diesel trucks, gas vehicles, and high-performance applications. From Cummins and Powerstroke to Duramax engines, AFE Power parts are designed to enhance various vehicle types. They also provide options for other vehicles, such as BMW, Porsche, and side-by-sides, making their catalog one of the most versatile in the performance industry.
Q: Does an exhaust system with a muffler versus a "straight pipe" (no muffler) have any performance advantages or disadvantages between one another?
A: In our experience, a quality muffler such as those included with an AFE exhaust will have no hindrance on performance. Its really just a matter of what type of sound you're looking to get out of the truck. Obviously, a straight pipe kit will be considerably louder than one with a muffler. That said, an AFE muffler kit will have a substantially better sound than a stock muffler.
Q: There's no selection for cab or bed length, will this system have enough exhaust to fit my truck?
A: Most exhaust systems are capable of being "universal" in terms of the length of the truck. They will include exhaust pieces in the center straight sections to accomodate diffrent cab and bed lengths.
Q: Why choose an AFE Power exhaust system over stock exhaust?
A: AFE Power exhaust systems are crafted to improve exhaust flow, reduce backpressure, and offer an upgraded sound profile. Unlike stock exhaust systems, which are often restrictive to meet standard regulations, AFE Power exhausts provide enhanced airflow for increased power and efficiency. Their exhaust systems are built with durable, high-grade materials, ensuring they can withstand the heat and stress of high-performance driving without compromising emissions compliance.
Q: How often should I service my aFe air filter?
A: aFe recommends cleaning your filter every 20,000-30,000 miles depending on the conditions your truck is used. For those in extremely dusty or dirty conditions, you will likely need to service the filter more frquently and we would recommend using a pre-filter when in these conditions.
Q: I see several different air filter options when it comes to the actual material of the filter. Whats the difference?
A: The Pro 5R is an oiled 5 layer filter, the Pro 10R is also oiled but offers 10 layers of protection, the Pro-GUARD 7 is oiled and has 7 layers, and finally, the Pro DRY S featured an oil-less 3 layer media.
Q: Why do some aFe air filters need to be oiled?
The oil improves filter efficiency by allowing more air to flow while capturing finer debris. aFe POWER oil is a high-grade blend and safe for your engine. Q: Whats the difference between a Scorcher GT, HD, and Blue?
A: The GT and HD Scorchers are for gas and diesel vehicles with an in-cabin controller that can switch between modes. Scorcher BLUE uses Bluetooth to switch modes using a smartphone app.
