First and foremost, the stock air inlet measures a measly nine square inches with a three inch diameter intake tube behind that built from corrugated tubing that creates a substantial amount of air turbulence before reaching the turbo. For a turbo to work at its peak efficiency, it requires cool, dense air flowing in a tabulated (flat) fashion. If you're looking to increase the efficiency, power, and throttle response of your EcoDiesel, an upgrade to the factory air intake system should be your first order of business.
