The NV4500 was the initial manual transmission of choice for the 2nd Generation Cummins that Ram continued to use through 2004 before being replaced by the 6 speed NV5600. The NV45 is widely popular in many applications due to its relative strength and parts availability. Really, this 5 speed's only faults were the original 12.25streetability" out of this bad boy.

The 1200 Series is a larger diameter assembly, which is designed for high torque output applications. This delivers a higher holding capacity, making it an ideal candidate for heavy towing applications. The 1200 Series Twin Disc features one sprung disc, creating a slightly smoother engagement compared to two rigid discs.

FEATURES & BENEFITS:
  • Twin Disc (one sprung six puck ceramic disc and one six puck rigid ceramic disc)
  • Rated up to 2000 ft/lbs of torque
  • Aftermarket master / slave cylinder hydraulics are not necessary - because the entire assembly features the same overall depth as the factory clutch, you will not require adjustable hydraulics to change the throw
  • No "floater" plate - by utilizing a unique strapped midplate, Clutch Masters' dual discs do not rattle, which is common from most alternative dual discs on the market
  • Machined pressure plate - instead of using a stamped pressure plate, Clutch Masters machines their pressure plate from aluminum, which causes a 90% reduction in pressure plate flex, meaning you get consistent apply pressure
  • Positive release and minimal increase in pedal effort
  • Average weight of the entire assembly is 10% lighter than OEM to prevent excessive chatter and gear rattle.
  • Utilizes stock size 1-1/4" input shaft where most dual discs require an upgrade to 1-3/8"
